Zhen Xin Bao is a traditional folk art practiced by women in Southwest China. It takes the form of a book made up of paper compartments layered upon each other in which embroidery threads, needles and snips of fabric are stored.

For the Japanese, human relationships are guided by a red thread; and the people connected by this thread share in the living of an important story. The thread extends out toward all those significant and perhaps seemingly insignificant others who make up the stories of our lives.

For the Old Norse, the health and strength of human relationships are symbolized by the Red Deer. It brings healing and creates an endless connection and channel of communication between us, our ancestors and future generations.
